Job description

We are looking for an individual to become the ROBUS brand champion and work across the print and digital collateral supporting the marketing and sales teams with the top-quality visual design. 

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with experience developing visual elements and creating concepts and across both Print and Digital Media (brochures, catalogues, flyers, advertisements, packaging, PowerPoint presentations, website graphics and email communications). They will be able to demonstrate a good understanding and passion for branding, graphic design, typography, photography and large-scale 3D artwork.  This person will have a keen eye for detail and be able to communicate technical information in a simple and effective way.

Your day-to-day role will be:

  • Assisting in the conception and execution of top-drawer visual design
  • Design and create artwork for large 3D displays for global exhibitions
  • Taking product and staff headshot photography
  • Coming up with and presenting a number of ideas/concepts for any project
  • Demonstrate creative flair within brand guidelines
  • Creating Packaging Designs within Packaging Guidelines
  • Work closely with marketing manager and other team members to deliver great quality marketing collateral for campaigns, product launches and brand communication.

Experience Required:

  • Be able to work on Windows based systems
  • Be highly proficient using Adobe Creative Cloud including:
  • Photoshop
  • In-Design

Experience required:

New Product Technical Manager

Due to expansion, we are now seeking to recruit a New Product Technical Manager. Based in Dublin and dealing daily with our office in China, you will proactively manage the new product function alongside the team to support the company’s new product development targets.

Reporting to the Head of Product, you will work in partnership with the Quality Control, Technical, Marketing, Sales and Purchasing teams to ensure new products launched under the ROBUS brand meet the required specification and are launched within agreed deadlines.  


  • Provide technical support on all product projects - New Products, Product Change, RD&I projects.
  • Review products to ensure wiring, installation, circuitry etc is installer friendly.
  • Communicate quickly and effectively with our colleagues in our Guangzhou office, providing feedback and suggestions on product development, constantly pushing projects forward and working within project deadlines.   
  • Take full responsibility for new product technical information - fully understand a products specification – able to see how it fits into existing range.
  • Manage the technical files and supporting documents for NPD projects ensuring they are accurate and complete.
  • Review supplier emails to spot opportunities to broaden the ROBUS range.   
  • Provide assistance to China sourcing office developing ‘Conversions’ type products for Australia.
  • Manage process around initial test reports and provide feedback to QC team.  
  • Conduct market research and feedback market requirements to Chinese sourcing team.  
  • Present new product plans to customers during visits to our head office.  
  • Be responsible for gathering and proofing data for catalogues.
  • Answer Technical queries on new product launches.


  • This is a demanding position and requires someone diligent with strong problem solving skills.
  • Technical graduate (Electronics/Engineering).
  • Electrical experience with strong technical aptitude.
  • Previous LED lighting experience essential.
  • Ability to work to own initiative and taking full responsibility for particular aspects of a project.

  • minimising excess stock levels;
  • working in collaboration with sales teams.

As a result of increased customer demand for lighting designs coupled with strong sales growth, an opportunity has arisen for an in-house Lighting Design Engineer role within the Lighting Design Department at LED Group. The right candidate will perform a pivotal role in supporting the Sales Team (Project Engineers in particular) to win projects by providing top class lighting designs. This is an exciting time for the business, which is expanding rapidly into new sales channels and there will be plenty of opportunity for further training and upskilling.  The ideal candidate would have good commercial lighting knowledge, a history of technical support and customer communication, together with project management experience.


  • Working with Sales Team primarily, and other key stakeholders in the delivery of lighting design projects.
  • Review and interpret CAD files to create lighting designs that meet specification requirements.
  • Deliver lighting designs as requested by Sales Team within agreed timelines.
  • Project Management, take ownership of lighting design projects as allocated by the Lead Lighting Design Engineer.
  • Support the Sales team in the tendering process.
  • Carry out comparative analysis of ROBUS vs Competitor products through lighting designs and reports.
  • Maintain product photometric files.
  • Create product BIM files using Revit.
  • To assist in technical support functions as business needs demand.
  • Other tasks/activities as assigned by the Department Manager.

Applicant requirements

  • Essential

    • 1 to 3 years lighting design experience using Relux or Dialux.
    • Technical graduate (e.g. IT/Engineering/Design) preferred.
    • Experience in working with CAD files to create suitable lighting designs.
    • Good working knowledge of lighting-related standards, schemes and calculations.
    • Customer Service Orientated.
    • Teamwork.
    • Results focussed, the ability to handle large volumes of data and to run multiple projects concurrently.
    • Persistent and diligent with focus on attention to detail.
    • Assertive and dynamic with willingness to learn and take on responsibility.

    • Relevant experience in the lighting industry.
